Watts to Joules calculation formula
E(J) = P(W) × t(s)
The energy E in joules (J) is equal to the power P in watts (W), multiplied by the time period t in seconds (s).
So,
J = W × s
joule = watt × second
For example:
Power (P) = 45W
Time period (t) = 5s
Energy (E) = 45W x 5s = 225J
