How to convert Joules to Watts

Joules to watts calculation formula

P(W) = E(J) / t(s)

The power P in watts (W) is equal to the energy E in joules (J), divided by the time period t in seconds (s).

So,

W = J / s
watt = joule / second

For example:

Energy (E) = 45J
Time period = 5s

Power (P) = 45J / 5s = 9W
