## kJ to watts calculation formula

P_{(W)} = 1000 x E_{(kJ)} / t_{(s)}

The power **P** in watts (W) is equal to 1000, multiplied by the energy **E** in kilojoules (kJ), divided by the time period **t** in seconds (s).

So,

*W = 1000 × kJ / s*

*watt = 1000 × kilojoule / second*

**For example:**

*Energy (E) = 12kJ*

*Time period = 10s*

*Power (P) = 1000 x 12kJ / 10s = 1200W*
