## kVA to watts calculation formula

P_{(W)} = 1000 × S_{(kVA)} × PF

The real power **P** in watts (W) is equal to 1000, multiplied by the apparent power **S** in kilovolt-amps (kVA), multiplied by the power factor **PF**.

So,

*W = 1000 x kVA x PF*

*watts = 1000 x kilovolt-amps x PF*

**For example:**

*Power (S) = 2,5kVA*

*PF = 0,7*

*Power (P) = 1000 x 2,5kVA x 0,7 = 1750W*
