How to convert Volts to Joules

Volts to joules calculation formula

E(J) = V(V) × Q(C)

The energy E in joules (J) is equal to the voltage V in volts (V), multiplied by the electrical charge Q in coulombs (C).

So,

J = V x C
joule = volt × coulomb

For example:

Voltage (V) = 20V
Electrical charge (Q) = 3C

Energy (E) = 20V x 3C = 60J
