How to convert Joules to Volts

Joules to Volts calculation formula

V(V) = E(J) / Q(C)

The voltage V in volts (V) is equal to the energy E in joules (J), divided by the electric charge Q in coulombs (C).

So,

V = J / C
volt = joule / coulomb

For example:

Energy (E) = 45J
Charge (Q) = 3C

Voltage (V) = 45J / 3C = 15V
