## kWh to watts calculation formula

P_{(W)} = 1000 x E_{(kWh)} / t_{(h)}

The power **P** in watts (W) is equal to 1000, multiplied by the energy **E** in kilowatt-hours (kWh), divided by the consumption time period **t** in hours (h).

So,

*W = 1000 x kWh / h*

*watt = 1000 x kilowatt-hour / hour*

**For example:**

*Energy (E) = 10kWh*

*Time period = 4 hours*

*Power (P) = 1000 x 10kWh / 4h = 2500W*
