How to convert Watts to Joules

Watts to Joules calculation formula

E(J) = P(W) × t(s)

The energy E in joules (J) is equal to the power P in watts (W), multiplied by the time period t in seconds (s).

So,

J = W × s
joule = watt × second

For example:

Power (P) = 45W
Time period (t) = 5s

Energy (E) = 45W x 5s = 225J
