Percentage increase/decrease calculation

Percentage increase/decrease calculation formula with initial and final values.

Percentage of increase/decrease = (V2 – V1) / V1 × 100%

V1 – Initial value
V2 – Final value

For example:

Initial value (V1) = 150
Final value (V2) = 175

So,

Percentage of increase = (175 – 150) / 150 x 100% = 16,67%

Percentage increase/decrease calculation formula with initial value and percentage of increase/decrease.

V2 = (V1 x Percentage change / 100%) + V1

V1 – Initial value
V2 – Final value

For example:

Initial value (V1) = 150
Percentage change = 25%

So,

Final value (V2) = (150 x 25% / 100%) + 150 = 187,5
