## kW to Wh calculation formula

E_{(Wh)} = 1000 x P_{(kW)} × t_{(h)}

The energy **E** in watt-hours (Wh) is equal to 1000, multiplied by the power **P** in kilowatts (kW), multiplied by the time period **t** in hours (h).

So,

*Wh = 1000 x kW x h*

*watt-hour = 1000 x kilowatt x hour*

**For example:**

*Power (P) = 10kW*

*Time period = 2 hours*

*Energy (E) = 1000 x 10kW x 2h = 20000Wh*
