How to use this Simple Fraction Calculator

Steps to Use:

1. Input the First Fraction:
   • Enter the numerator of the first fraction in the top input box labeled a.
   • Enter the denominator of the first fraction in the bottom input box labeled b.
2. Select the Operation:
   • Use the dropdown menu between the two fractions to select the operation you want to perform:
     • + for addition
     • − for subtraction
     • × for multiplication
     • ÷ for division
3. Input the Second Fraction:
   • Enter the numerator of the second fraction in the top input box labeled c.
   • Enter the denominator of the second fraction in the bottom input box labeled d.
4. Calculate the Result:
   • Click the Calculate button.
   • The result will be displayed below the button as a simplified fraction.

Example:

To add 1/2 and 2/3:

• Enter 1 in the first numerator box (a) and 2 in the first denominator box (b).
• Select + from the dropdown menu.
• Enter 2 in the second numerator box (c) and 3 in the second denominator box (d).
• Click Calculate to see the result 7/6.

How to use this Mixed Fractions Calculator

Steps to Use:

1. Input the First Mixed Fraction:

   • Enter the whole number of the first mixed fraction in the leftmost input box labeled W.
   • Enter the numerator of the fractional part in the top input box labeled a.
   • Enter the denominator of the fractional part in the bottom input box labeled b.

2. Select the Operation:

   • Use the dropdown menu between the two fractions to select the operation:
     • + for addition
     • − for subtraction
     • × for multiplication
     • ÷ for division

3. Input the Second Mixed Fraction:

   • Enter the whole number of the second mixed fraction in the leftmost input box labeled W.
   • Enter the numerator of the fractional part in the top input box labeled c.
   • Enter the denominator of the fractional part in the bottom input box labeled d.

4. Calculate the Result:

   • Click the Calculate button.
   • The result will be displayed below the button as a mixed fraction. If the result has no fractional part, only the whole number will be shown.

Example:

To subtract 2 1/3 from 3 1/2:

• Enter 3 in the first whole number box (W), 1 in the first numerator box (a), and 2 in the first denominator box (b).

• Enter 2 in the second whole number box (W), 1 in the second numerator box (c), and 3 in the second denominator box (d).
