Average Calculation Formula

Average=Sum of all numbersTotal count of numbers\text{Average} = \frac{\text{Sum of all numbers}}{\text{Total count of numbers}}

Explanation:

  • Sum of all numbers: This is the total sum of all the numbers in the set.
  • Total count of numbers: This is the number of values in the set.

Example Calculation:

If you have a set of numbers: ,

  1. Sum of all numbers:

    3+5+8=16
  2. Total count of numbers:

    There are 3 numbers in the set.
  3. Average:

    Average=1635.3333

So, the average of the numbers 3, 5, and 8 is approximately 5.33.
