### Average Calculation Formula

$\text{Average} = \frac{\text{Sum of all numbers}}{\text{Total count of numbers}}$

#### Explanation:

• Sum of all numbers: This is the total sum of all the numbers in the set.
• Total count of numbers: This is the number of values in the set.

#### Example Calculation:

If you have a set of numbers: ,

1. Sum of all numbers:

$3+5+8=16$
2. Total count of numbers:

$\text{There are 3 numbers in the set.}$
3. Average:

$\text{Average}=\frac{16}{3}\approx 5.3333$

So, the average of the numbers 3, 5, and 8 is approximately 5.33.
